Casey's Cove in Jena(Steinhatchee) is were I fill my boat. I take it out of my boat tank for my lawn mower and stuff so they don't become ethanolholics.

If I remember right, the gas station just before the turn to Yankeetown Marina has non ethanol gas. Then there's a couple in Crystal River on Rt.19. Mystic Gas and the station across from Race Trac.

The law in Florida, as of January 1, 2011. I doubt you will find non-ethanol fuel except at marinas and aircraft filling locations. If a gas station is selling non-ethanol fuel it would have to be from a pump that a vehicle would not have access to. The owner could be fined $10,000 per violation if he let someone fill a vehicle with non-ethanol fuel Ethanol Blend Mandate Beginning December 31, 2010, all gasoline that a terminal supplier, importer, blender, or wholesaler sells or offers for sale in Florida must contain 9-10% ethanol by volume. Ethanol fuel may be derived from any agricultural source. The fuel mandate does not apply to fuel used in aircrafts or watercrafts, fuel sold to a blender, or fuel sold for use in collector vehicles, off-road vehicles, motorcycles, or small engines. If a terminal supplier, importer, blender, or wholesaler is unable to obtain ethanol fuel at the same or lower price as unblended gasoline, then the covered entity may apply for a waiver. (Reference Florida Statutes 526.201-526.207)

What a better way to create jobs, lots of repairs. I agree with Obama on this one. Cost me several dollars already. Hes done alot for the outboard industries and more to come with E-15, you got to think like them. It doesn't take much energy to create E-15.

As long as he only lets boats fill from that pump he is legal. I do not know how or who is responsible for enforcing compliance or what is exactly required to be in compliance. It may be Dept of Agriculture who will notify him of any problem when they do one of their inspections. They are so far behind it could be six months before that happens. He may not even be aware of the law change. I do not how they are notifying station owners.

From the setup he has I think all pumps were ethanol free. I may be mistaken. His sign said "our Gas has no ethanol" but never saw a specific pump for it. The littel out island he has is his diesel pump but even those labeled unleaded out there didn't have any special tag/sign for ethanol free... If it's dept of ag it probably will take some time unless they can levy some fines to get some revenue. Then it may be worth it to them to enforce.

The inspector from Dept of Ag. was by my station today getting samples of fuel. he told me Casey's is no longer selling non-ethanol fuel. He said the only station selling Ethanol in this area was a Chevron in South Chiefland. He said they had one pump designated for non-ethanol fuel. The only other place is marinas. Expect to pay a premium price for the fuel and expect it to go higher in the future.

Dang!Cad - You need a non-ethanol pump with a sign by the road that says "non ethanol for a lower carbon footprint" in your location you would sell the crap out of it! Or "for greener fuel add no agricutural by products". Most of the people in the buying public dont educate themselves on "green" or "carbon footprint" or "leed points" anyway, they just see a label and assume it is better. You could make a pretty good margin .

1) Chevron won't allow it. 2) The cost to install one pump and one tank is around $100,000 with all the environmental requirements thrown in. It would take a lot of profit and volume to cover that expense. 3) Can not sell it for use in vehicles. Marine, aviation, off road equipment only. If you hate 10% ethanol, you are really going to be upset at what's coming next.
15% mandatory mix is coming soon to a station near you. The EPA has already approved 15% blend ethanol fuel for use in vehicles.
